Exhibit Graphics
Brief
The Attenborough Komodo Dragon House, based within London Zoo, is a visitor attraction housing the largest living species of lizard in the world. The whole exhibit was in need of a graphic refresh with external mastheads, floor-to-ceiling interior graphic panels, a suite of interpretive graphic labels and various maps required.

Design
The tongue of this incredible reptile, which can taste blood in airbourne particles from over six miles away, became the visual device used with custom typography to form a 'swash' for the exhibit main title.
A left-facing and right-facing swash version was created to point from both sides of the building.

To visually unify images originating from a multitude of different sources and provide cohesion, a colour palette of natural hues and a wood grain texture treatment was developed for use on all of the photography. Images were carefully composited to provide content and backgrounds for a suite of interpretive graphic panels.

Client Feedback

Izabelle was an absolute pleasure to work with on many projects at ZSL London Zoo. Her work is visually appealing and creative. She is responsive to feedback and especially good at interpreting briefs from colleagues less familiar with the design process to get and excellent end result.
